Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson born april 13 of the year 1743 One of the most famose Persons i all
the U.S History Why? Well he was the 3rd President of the United States (1801–1809)
And even if you dont know Jefferson was a Patriot and this Patriot wrote the Declaration
of independance Without Him America would still be part of England. LOUISIANA
PURCHASE- big success, gained a lot of territory for America from French ruler,
Napoleon He maintained peace and led Many things in favor of America

Jefferson served in the Virginia House of Burgesses he starter this in 1769 as a
representative . In 1774, the British Parliament passed the Intolerable Acts, which
punished The people from Boston for the Boston Tea Party. Colonists all over America
were outraged by the acts and Jefferson wrote a set of resolutions condemning the
acts. These resolutions were expanded into Jefferson's first published work, called "A
Summary View of the Rights of British America." The document was made as
instructions for Virginia's delegation to the Continental Congress. The document was
very distributed and made Jefferson into a widely respected patriot.

Thomas Was part of the committee of five that included John Adams and many other
they needed a man who could write the reason of the separation to England.Jefferson it
was said that he did not put many words into practice while he talked but he really could
express himself with writings, The Declaration was Something Good that helped racism
and slavery Finish in big amounts.With the words "all men are born equal" the people
from Georgia and south Carolina did not agree with Thomas writings,But even though
they still sign it.The Declaration has been used since then two free people and state the
reasons of the separations the Declaration changed the way of thinking.

Thomas Paine

  On January 29, 1737, Thomas Paine was born in Thetford, England. His father, a
corseter, had grand visions for his son, but by the age of 12, Thomas had failed out of
school. The young Paine began apprenticing for his father, but again, he failed. So, now
age 19, Paine went to sea. This adventure didn't last too long, and by 1768 he found
himself as an excise (tax) officer in England. In Log Term he became a Good writer who
talked about basically everything that pissed him up about being in the colonist you se
he knows because his father was from England and he is from England so he has the
idea of the wrong things he does.

  Paine attacked divine right - monarchs should not be chosen arbitarily by birth.
Paine wrote in very plain and easy to understand English. Unlike many others the
ordinary person could understand what he was saying. THis helped to get people on his
side and for people to rally to the cause.

 Paine was at the forefront of the political Enlightenment - everything can be proven
and explained through rational investigation. Because of this Thomas panes Writings
were so important one of the most Important writings was common sense. That
explained clearly his ideas and made all of the colonists inspired by him. References to attract and gain the attention of the common man, whom at the time practically all were religious.This writing caused many spirits among the colonist it gave  like the hope of a new country it especified how would it be with the independance what Paine did was very important even thought it was not legal what he wanted was the
freedom of the colonists.

George Washington

George washington was a commander of the american army in the continental war during the American revolution. He was a really important man for his army because he was the commander and also he was a great soldier he knew how to fight the British and also knew a lot of strategies to defeat them. He was commander in the years of seventeen seventy five to seventeen eighty three. After his great achievements in was with the patriots defeating the British he was named the first president of the u tied states of America for the years of seventeen eighty nine to seventeen nighty seven.

As a young man he worked as surveyor and then after that he fought in the French and Indian war in the years of seventeen fifty four and seventeen sixty three. During the American revolution he led the colonial army to defeat the British like I said before and after that he became a national hero. As an American president he was one of the best presidents united states had because he build a powerful nation and a great country he handed down a legacy of strength, integrity and national purpose. 3 years after he left the job of being president he died at the age of sixty two at Mount Vernon, Virginia.

He was one of the most Important persons in the american revolution and also a very important person for the history of the united states because he achieved what some people thought was impossible to achieve like the independence of the united states. He was also a great commander and like I said before one of the best presidents of the United States of America. He was the inspiration of many people and was the hero of America.

Quartering Act of 1765

The quartering act Was an act that was made by the Parliament to get
provisions for their army and also to be able to pay more money to the troops. And also to force the colonies to give shelter to the troops. This act was the first one and happened in march twentyfour seventeen sixty five. This was like the start this act was the one who made the people in the colonies go against laws because they were starting to put things that the colonists didn't like at all.

This act was among many others such as the tea act and the stamp act all of which boiled the water that led to the revolutianary war.It led to the revolutionary war all these acts that I mentioned because they were really upsetting the colonies with these laws that were not so fair for the people. People in the colonies thought that it was bad giving shelter to the troops.

Stamp Act

The Boston massacre ocurred in march 5 of 1770 what happend in the massacre was that slodiers that were guardin the custom house killed 5 colonists it was named the boston massacre because they killed the colonists without them having any weapon to defend themself so this was clasified as the Boston massacre were 5 colonies wich names are: Samuel Gray, Samuel Maverick, James Caldwell, Crispus Attucks, and Patrick Carr but what really happend in the boston massacre.

In the night of 1770 4 colonists went to have a nice time and argue about laws and ect... It was said that they went deinking so they were wasted while walking they passed by the customs house were the soldiers were guarding they started to insult them and they throwed snow balls and rocks at them the soldiers felt thretend and of them shot making the rest shoot back and they killed 5 colonists one colonist was just in the wrong place and the wrong time another colonists just died 9 days later he was mortally wounded.

The Boston Massacre made the colonist angry and also uhate the soldiers this is what happend that night in the 5 of march in 1770 colonist were killed and soldiers got in trouble as i said before this was a massacre it affected the reputation that they have upon british who were unfair with the colonies then in the Boston Tea Party will lead to the American revolution.

Coercive Acts

The coercive acts were made after the Boston Tea party The colonies called this acts intolerable acts during this acts were place more power was given to the govener.More soldiers were sent to the colonies also but these lead that anyone who spoked in favor of the British and all of the Act , they were assaulted tared and feathered in some people they droped hot tea on their Throught.so why in those times people were mad about the intolerable acts well we will describe the ones we think its more intolerable.

One of the most intolerable acts was the Boston Port Act this act was placed when the tea party occurred.It basically consisted that they closed the Boston Port until They payed the taxes.This was not tolerable because they could not use the port that was one of the main things in transportation and exportation of people,Goods and slaves
Making Boston one of the main colonies unaible to connect with other colonies they had to pay tax but they didn't so they put preassure with the Boston Port Act.

Other intolerable act was the quartering Act the quartering act was basically giving to the soldiers a place to stay and giving them supplies these act was given in 1774 the diffrence between this act in 1774 and 1765 was that in this one they were more soldier and all barns and none used locals will be used for the soldiers.This was not tolerable to give supplies housing and ect.... To them they were taking there jobs. This and much more acts occurred after the boston tea party so the colonist got mad and joined the first continental congress.
