African-American Soldiers

Hello people In this post I will be talking about the black soldiers who ere the soldiers that were slaves before and that they decided to join the patriots and other decide to join the british the ones who joined the patriots were told that if they won the war they will be free they will be free men and no more longer will be Slaves. These soldiers at the end of the war were also remembered as hero's of the united states because they also fought for their country and defend it with their lives. Many of the soldiers that were black died in this revolutionary war like I said before protecting and defending their nation against the British.

Now i will talk about a soldier that was a great hero of the revolutionary war and he was a black men and a slaveSalem Poor earned his place in history. during "the Battle of Charleston"-known today as the Battle of Bunker Hill. In this battle, African Americans suffered more than 1,000 casualties. At the Battle of Bunker Hill, Salem Poor performed so well that fourteen officers sent a petition to the Massachusetts legislature declaring that he behaved like an experienced officer, as well as an excellent soldier and added that "a reward was due to so great and distinguished a character.

I will also talk about another great black hero in this war he's name is The protomartyr of the Revolutionary war was Crispus Attucks, a black who was the leader in the Boston massacre on that memorable 5th of March, 1770. Attucks led the citizens in the charge, shouting The way to get rid of these idlers is to attack the main guard; strike at the root this is the nest. Black people were really important Also in this revolutionary war they became hero's and they were no longer normal people they were now important people in the American nation they were great hero's.

Battle of Yorktown

The Battle of Yorktown was fought in the year 1781 was a great victory by combined assault of American forces led by General George Washington and French forces and the british Army commanded by General Lord Cornwallis. it proved to be the last major land battle of the Revolutionary War, as the surrender of Cornwallis’s war then their success the British government to eventually negotiate an end all the trouble the tax without representation made.

In 1780, 5,500 French soldiers landed in Rhode Island to help their American allies in assaulting British by that time they were at New York City. the two armies met North of New York City in 1781. the French Commander, the Comte de Rochambeau, convinced the American Commander, George Washington, that an attack on New York City would be hard to acomplish and it but even though it will be more easy for the french to help by that sea, because he was to bring the French Fleet into the Caribbean in October. they agreed to attack Lord Cornwallis and his smaller army of 9,000 men which was stationed in the port of Yorktown, Virginia. in the beginning of The battle, french defeated a British Fleet at the Battle of the Chesapeake which had come to Cornwallis. as a the achivement of this victory, the french blocked any escape by sea for Cornwallis. Washing sent the Marquis de Lafayette(french)to make lord Cornwallis stay in Yorktown until he arrived, and Lafayette did so. by late Of that month the french and Other helpers surrounded Cornwallis by land.

After initial preparations, the Friends of the patriots built their first bomb thingy and began the bomb atack . with the British defense weakened, Washington, on October 14, sent two columns to attack the last major remaining British defenses. They took down many columnas wich protected the british making them vulnerable. with these defenses gone, the allies were able to finish their 2nd bonb location. with the Allied artillery closer and more intense than ever, the British situation began to destroy very rapidly and Cornwallis asked for capitulation terms on the 17th. after two days of negotiation, the surrender ceremony took place on the 19th, with Cornwallis being not theresince said he was to be ill. with the capture of over 8,000 British soldiers, negotiations between the United States and Great Britain began, that made in the Treaty of Paris in 1783.

American Revolution Effects

Hello people I will talk about the effects of the great American revolution which was a great even in American history cause thanks to this revolution they could gain their independence from the British and that was what they wanted for a long time because the British were unfair with them at all times the colonists were not equally treated the same. After this revolutionary war one of the effects that caused this war was that they gain freedom America was Finally free from the British.

Other effects that this revolutionary war left was that in France they made a treaty called the treaty of Paris which consisted in a treaty that officially ended the American Revolutionary war and gave independence t the colonies like I said before. The colonies gain also that the American could now make their own government with their own rules. After this revolutionary war ended the British and French troops went all the way back home because this war was already over and the patriots had won it.

The British gave America all of the land between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mississippi River from Canada to the north and Florida to the south. The land east of the Mississippi River between the Ohio River and the Great Lakes was known as the Northwest Territory. If Revolution had not take place then the united states will still be under british domain and the name United States would not exist. So Americans be thankful of the revolutionary war in the united states and we should always consider the patriots as hero's as the ones who made America free.

Treat of Paris 1783

Many treaties, specifically those that end a war, were regularly signed in Paris, France. All these traits have stopped wars from continuing, which saves lives being lost furthermore. In 1783, the war between the British and the new country, United States of America, was going to an end. Despite the efforts of the British they lost at Yorktown, but the battle will be mentioned in another post. Soon after the war ended the treaty was made.

As said before, the treaty was made after the city which it was made. The American Patriots went to France to create and negotiate the treaty. Despite the fact that the French were allied with the Americans, and that the treaty was made in France, there was no gain made to them nor were they even mentioned in it. The lack of France being mentioned made them angry. Three patriotic men went to France: Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay. David Hartley was the man representing Great Britain. At least three different original copies were signed, two of which are found in the National Archives over at Washington D.C.

The main ideas signed in the act were to stop the war between the countries, but Benjamin Franklin also managed to negotiate obtaining extra land on America that was from the British, but not as a part of the thirteen colonies. Part of this land was owned by Native Americans, which were warned to give the land or otherwise they would fight against them. Native Americans ended up living in reservations.

This treaty is relevant on the history if the United States because not only did this stop the war, but also accepted their victory. They were able to get more land, which made the country bigger and more powerful, which over time also became one of the greatest powers on the world.
